Hilborn’s scientific reports in epidemiology and environmental health science focus on the health effects associated with water pollution, emerging infections, and extreme weather events. She’s served as an Epidemic Intelligence Service Fellow at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and is a senior staff scientist at the Environmental Protection Agency’s Office of Research and Development.

Hilborn is frequently invited to speak to scientific and other audiences around the world.
